Bringing a new puppy into the family can be so exciting, and is generally a very special and happy time. It can also bring added stress into your home, especially now with so many people trying to work from home offices. After all it’s difficult keeping up with a new bouncy bundle of fur. If you are like many new puppy owners, you will get very busy doing research on the Internet, reading recommended books, and taking your new role as a puppy parent very seriously. The problem is that there are so many books and there is so much information – it can all be overwhelming and confusing. We at Good CitiZEN Dog Training have been working with owners and their puppies for many years – it is one of our main areas of expertise. Whether you have a very young puppy straight out of the litter or an older puppy, we can make the transition much easier and less stressful for you. The New Puppy Consultation is a one-time, private, 90-minute session intended to answer many of the questions that new owners may have about puppy care, maintenance, and training.
As both puppy and behavior specialists, we will help you resolve behavior issues common in puppies such as:
Basic Skills (sit, down, leave it, come, etc.)
Inappropriate Biting or Grabbing Clothing
Digging in the Wrong Areas
Playing too Rough
Chewing on the Wrong Things (shoes, furniture, us)
Jumping Up
House Training (including Crate Training)
Alone-time Training
Car Riding and many others!
Ultimately, this session will help you better understand your puppy, resolve unwanted common puppy behaviors and provide techniques to change unwanted behaviors into preferred ones. The session will also give you a jump start on basic obedience and manners training for your puppy and give you a better sense of control. Tacoma and Seattle Puppy Training at it’s best starts here.
Important Information: The full consultation is a 90-minute session. If this session is done in conjunction with the Puppy Kindergarten class, reduced pricing is available.
